Race split sheet
Choose a finish time and make an even or negative split plan to print and keep.
0 means even pace. 5 means the second half takes 5% less time than the first.

The final row can be a partial kilometre or mile. Rounded split seconds add up to the rounded target. This is an arithmetic plan, not a recommendation to run a particular pace.
Useful to know
What is a negative split?
The second half of the race takes less time than the first. Here a 5% reduction means the second-half time is 95% of the first-half time, while the total stays at your target.
What happens at a partial final mile?
The final row covers only the remaining distance. Its time is shorter than a full split. A segment crossing the halfway point includes the appropriate share of each half’s pace.
Why might individual splits differ by a second?
We round cumulative time first, then subtract the previous rounded cumulative time. This prevents rounding errors building up and keeps the split total equal to your rounded target.
