Privacy & cookies

You can browse the directory and save clubs without agreeing to analytics. Essential storage keeps the site working: it remembers your cookie choice, saves clubs on this device and, if you sign in, keeps your session secure.

Optional website analytics

If you choose “Allow analytics”, we use Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources, devices, public pages viewed, searches, saved clubs and clicks to club websites or social pages. This helps us improve the directory and find searches that return no results.

We send the type of search, filter counts and number of results, rather than the text you type, postcodes or precise coordinates. Club interactions use the public listing identifier. We do not send your name, email, account ID, review text or private profile information. Account, runner profile, claim, correction and founder pages are excluded. URL query strings and fragments are stripped from page measurements; referrers are reduced to their website origin.

Analytics uses the _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions, for up to 180 days. Your choice is remembered on this device for 180 days. Google receives technical information such as your browser, device and IP address as part of the connection. We do not enable advertising features or Google signals. Event data is retained in Analytics for 14 months; aggregated reports may remain longer.

Google processes analytics data under its own service terms and may process it outside the UK or EU. This is separate from member and contact information stored in our London database. Read Google’s privacy policy and how Google Analytics handles data.

Choose “No thanks” to decline. We do not load Google Analytics or send analytics events before you agree. You can change your choice using Cookie preferences in the footer. Declining later stops further collection and removes the Analytics cookies this site can access; it does not erase data already sent to Google.
