Christmas & Santa Runs 2026: UK Festive Races
By Run Club Directory · Updated
A festive run can be a reason to get outside with friends, try a new route or finish the year with your club. This guide brings together upcoming November and December events listed in our directory. It is a growing selection, not a guarantee that every UK event is included.
Santa dashes and fun runs
Look at the organiser’s description before choosing: a Santa dash may be a timed race or a relaxed fun run. Check age limits, whether children need an accompanying adult, and whether costumes or charity fundraising are part of entry. These details vary between events.
Festive 5Ks and 10Ks
Start with a distance you want to run, then compare location, start time and entry details. A festive name does not tell you whether a course is flat, accessible or suitable for walking. Follow the event link and check the organiser’s current information before booking.
Christmas trail and fell races
For off-road events, read the route and kit requirements carefully. Check terrain, daylight, cut-off times and any experience requirements with the organiser. A short trail race can be very different from a road 5K.
Find a festive event by area
The list below comes from our published upcoming events, matching festive words in event names. Dates and availability can change; the organiser’s booking page is the final check. Where we cannot confidently identify a county, we group the event under its nation.

Run it with your club
Share a shortlist with your group before booking. Compare travel plans and distances, and ask whether anyone would prefer to volunteer or cheer rather than run. On an event page you can save your plans and choose whether to share them with your clubmates; this does not reserve a race place.

Common questions
Does saving an event book a place?
No. Saving your plans in Run Club Directory does not book entry. Use the organiser’s booking link and follow their entry process.
Are Santa runs suitable for children?
Some may offer family entries, but age limits and supervision rules differ. Check the organiser’s information for the particular event.
